Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 2BALE Inventory Intelligence handles personal information and organisation data when you use 2Bale StockCount and related services.
1. Service Operator
2BALE Inventory Intelligence operates the Service. The name is the service name used in this policy and does not state a separate registered legal-entity name.
2. Information We Handle
Account and organisation information
Information such as your name, email address, phone number if provided, organisation name, role, project memberships, invitations, and account and session information needed to create and secure access.
Inventory and business information
Product names and codes, barcodes, pack and unit details, locations, batch and expiry information, quantities and count stages, project assignments, notes, variances, and reports or exports created from organisation data. This information may relate to your organisation rather than to you personally.
Technical and service information
Information generated when you use the Service, such as application and device or browser details where available, operational and diagnostic logs, and information needed to keep the Service secure and functioning.
Audit and support information
Records of significant account or data actions, and information you choose to include in support requests or communications with us.
Authentication-flow measurements
The Service may record limited first-party authentication-flow events, such as the event type, client platform, and an anonymous flow identifier, to understand whether sign-in and registration steps work. These events are not intended to include your email address or inventory data.
3. How We Use Information
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and manage organisation roles and project access.
- Provide stock counting, offline-to-online synchronisation, project management, reports, exports, and related features.
- Send account, verification, invitation, security, and other service messages.
- Maintain the security, reliability, and integrity of the Service, including audit and troubleshooting.
- Respond to support requests, improve service operation, and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not use inventory data for third-party advertising. We do not sell personal information.
4. Organisation Data and Access
The Service separates organisation data and applies role and project permissions. Organisation administrators manage invitations and access and may be able to view or manage information within their organisation. If your request concerns inventory or other organisation-controlled data, you may need to contact your organisation administrator.
We may access Customer Data when reasonably necessary to provide support, protect the Service, investigate a security issue, or meet a legal obligation.
5. Service Providers and Sharing
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Service. The current service uses Replit for application hosting, a PostgreSQL database configured for the API, and Resend for transactional email delivery. The recipient address and message content are processed by Resend to send account and operational messages. Database provider and location details follow the configuration of the relevant deployment.
We may share information with your organisation's authorised users, with providers that support the Service, or where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the Service and its users. We do not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.
6. Storage and International Transfers
The Service uses hosted application and database infrastructure. Providers may store or process information in locations outside Uganda, according to the configuration of the service and the providers used. Where information is processed internationally, we use provider arrangements and safeguards appropriate to operating the Service. We do not promise that all data remains in Uganda.
7. Retention
We keep account, project, inventory, and support information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain organisation records, handle security and support matters, and meet legal obligations. Organisation administrators may control the retention of organisation data.
Audit records are designed to preserve a history of significant actions and may remain after an account is deactivated or other data is removed. Copies in backups may also remain until those backups are rotated. We do not state a fixed deletion period in this policy.
To request account or personal-information correction or deletion, contact us using the details below. Some requests concerning organisation-controlled records must be made through an organisation administrator, and some records may need to be retained for security, audit, legal, or backup reasons.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted connections, hashed password storage, role-based access controls, organisation separation, session protections, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your Requests and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information about you, or to object to or limit certain processing. Contact us at the privacy email below. We may need to verify your identity and may direct requests about organisation-controlled inventory or user records to your organisation administrator.
10. Children
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy and will change the version and dates shown above. We will provide notice of material changes through the Service or by email where practicable. Where renewed acceptance is required, we will request it and record the version accepted; continued use alone does not update an acceptance record.
